Few of us are lucky enough to experience a true wilderness that has been little effected by the modern world. The Berber tribes have occupied this area of Morocco since time began, with Egyptian, Greek and Roman references dating back to 3,000BC. |

We have always experienced an open and friendly welcome from local people. Many are poor and value things that are often disregarded and thrown away by modern society, for example old clothes, shoes and toys. Frequently you will come across small children running out to greet you with beaming faces and it is wonderfully rewarding to be able to give something back. We ask our riders to help contribute by bringing some of the things that they do not use anymore that would be valued here. Often children will have grown out of clothes, old toys and you might be able to find some out dated medical supplies for the local hospital. |
